Intermediate Class
Take Your Skills to the Next Level
Ready to build on your stained glass foundation? Our Intermediate Stained Glass Class is designed for students who have completed our Beginner Stained Glass Course (or have equivalent experience) and are eager to continue developing their skills with more complex designs, refined techniques, and greater independence at the workbench.
Course Overview
This class will challenge and inspire you as you advance your understanding of the copper foil method. Over two sessions (3 hours each, 6 hours total), you’ll complete a more detailed and intricate window hanging that builds on the techniques introduced in the beginner class. Expect sharper curves, tighter angles, and more pieces in your pattern — all with guidance and support from your instructor.
What You’ll Learn
Advanced cutting and shaping techniques
How to work with more complex patterns
Tips for cleaner, more consistent soldering
Tricks for better fitting and finishing
Problem-solving skills for common glasswork issues
What’s Included
Access to all tools during class
Hands-on instruction and guided practice
A more detailed project to take home and be proud of
Continued guidance on tool selection and studio setup for ongoing practice
Note: This course assumes you are familiar with the basic stained glass process, including cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering. Students should be comfortable using these tools, though we’ll continue refining technique throughout the class.
