Dreamcatcher with Spinning Feathers
In many Native American tribes, a dream catcher is a handmade willow hoop woven to a web or literally, a net. They can include feathers and beads, and they’re traditionally suspended on cradles as a form of armor and protection. I love the meaning of these symbols, so I decided to make it with stained glass.
I have used different colours of glass as well as some iridescent glass just to add to it’s beauty. The feathers spin on a special metal piece that helps with their movement.
Materials: stained glass, wire and spinning pieces, copper foil, solder, copper, wax, and chains for hanging.
